From one life long scorekeeper to another, thanks for expressing that. I didn't name my Substack "Keeping the Book" for nothing. I'm also headed to Seattle in September and planning to catch a game there. Maybe I'll recognize you with the scorebook 😁

Gave away a bunch of scorecards during a recent baseball trip I took with 50+ substack subscribers to Molly Knight’s newsletter. The way people’s faces lit up… so awesome.

with things like real time game cast now that's on the Internet it's become a lost art. I remember when my dad showed me how to do it at old Forbes field. brought back a lot of great memories, including going through the score book during my younger playing days to see my cumulative stats on a game by game basis . Thanks for sharing

I prefer paper scoring for bowling for the same reason!

I still haven't been to a game this year. I need to do that. Take the kid and definitely keep score. This article was a nice reminder.
